Govt clears rules for in-flight WiFi, registrations open

The government has notified rules for in-flight WiFi and interested parties can apply to Department of Telecommunications (DoT) for grant of license. They can provide the services to airlines operating domestic flights and international flights flying over the Indian airspace above an altitude of 3,000 metres. The services can be provided using on-ground telecom networks as well as satellites.
