Volkswagen denies chairman knew of emissions scandal early

Volkswagen has denied allegations that Chairman of the Supervisory Board Hans Dieter Pötsch knew about its emissions test cheating three months before US authorities made it public in September 2015. According to a report, Pötsch received a presentation in June 2015 stating that US emissions rules were being violated. Pötsch was Volkswagen’s finance head at the time.
